The owner of this puppy farm, which has been known as Dobe Farm. Hot Dogs Kennels and now trades under Runwell Kennels, is Loretta Toye, also known as Loretta Bastin. I believe she works with a daughter/daughter in law named Clare Toye. More info on this can be found on the Puppy Love website if any of you are members and can access this (I'm not so I can't). Runwell Kennels, as it is now known, is in Wickford in Essex.
The dogs are not with their mothers and Toye/Bastin won't say where they come from.
The kennels are STILL in operation - the PetPlan advert is dated 2nd October 2009. Please join me in emailing PetPlan about this advert.
It is a fact that Petplan have a history of insuring similar puppy farms - and that they know it. I am also forwarding this to David Whiteley (
david.whiteley@bbc.co.uk" ) and would ask that others also ask him to follow up the story, using their own words as your emails will no doubt have more chance of being taken notice of if so.
